| Equi-Chaps help keep horses legs clean and mud free. The chaps encase the horses lower leg in breathable Stomatex, fitting over the hoof and under the heel. Designed for those horses and ponies that suffer from mud fever. Equi-Chaps are also useful in providing light protection from scratches, knocks and grazes during turnout. Not suitable for horses or ponies with a neoprene allergy or with a severe brushing action as this causes premature wear. Equi-Chaps are designed to fit snugly around the contours of the horses leg, like a second skin. Selecting the correct size for your horse or pony is very important, if the chaps are too big they will slip down or allow mud to get inside the chap; too small a size will place undue stress on the seams and the fabric, causing it to split. Safe for hacking. An easy and safe alternative to bandaging without pressure points. Provides warmth for arthritic or stiff joints, stops legs from swelling when stabled, secures dressings in place on the lower leg and can help to keep poultices hot. The Sportabac Long Turnout Socks are manufactured in black 5.5mm neoprene with simple but strong and effective velcro fastenings. An additional neoprene patch between heel and fetlock provides additional protection against skid and strike injuries. The tailored shape prevents slipping. Fully machine washable.
